From the airport you can either hire a car, or else get a taxi or a bus to the Rose Bay area.
Where to stay

However, there is plenty of choice in the area at AirBnB, Booking.com and other accommodation websites.
Race distances
There are 4 race distances:
The 'Stroke 'n' Stride' 2 km intro race is barefoot (no gear!). There are 4 swim legs and 5 run sections.
The 6 km race involves 5 swim legs and 6 running sections. The total swim distance is 1.76 km and total run distance is 4.24 km.
The 10.3 km event includes 1.9 km of swimming over 6 legs, and 8.4 km of running, over 7 legs.

Race routes
All race distances start and finish at the Woollahra Sailing Club.
Energy stations
Around each course there are several water stops, offering hydration (water and electrolyte drinks), and fruit.
Cut-off times
The Swimrun Australia website states that there are generous cut-off times, but does not say what they are.
Weather
Held around mid-April, the water is still warm from summer, and the weather is mild but a little unpredictable. The water temperature is around 20 degrees C, according to the race organiser. Most athletes do NOT wear wetsuits.
There is always a chance of cold or wet weather, so you should take suitable clothing for every eventuality!
